I watched it in half speed just to savour all the work you put into this one. Freaking brilliant. (Again). I love both movies, and until this, I had no idea how much was "borrowed" from the original film. Things that weren't historical, but cinematic "homages". Excellent work. That you have so many in the pipeline ready to go leaves me in further awe. Well done.

I don't understand putting a woman in fishnets and having her sing "I'm just a sweet transvestite". Even in the play sometimes it bothers me a little bit because the entire point of Frank-N-Furter is that he dresses in "women's clothing"(In quotations because I don't believe clothes define gender), so then to have a woman in those same clothes defeats the purpose and is no longer a transvestite by definition. I'm not saying that women shouldn't be allowed to play Frank-N-Furter, but to REMAKE the MOVIE with a woman is just... an interesting choice. I haven't seen the remake and really don't care to because of what I have seen from it, honestly. I don't understand why they even felt the need to do a remake... The Rocky Horror Show as of when I'm writing this is turning 50 years old tomorrow, which is absolutely insane and wonderful. So, it's not like the play or the movie has started to go away or be forgotten or anything, so... Why remake it? I don't know. I don't think anybody could ever do better than Tim Curry did, and the feel and set design of the original movie is divine. There's no need to mess with it. It's a classic. If it ain't broke don't fix it, you know?

I know there's people looking at the original with rose tinted glasses. as a person who just watched the 1976 and 2006 movies for the first time in 2024 after watching the first omen(2024). the original looks extremely dated compared to what we have today. it needed to be updated. the graveyard scene with the dogs for example, you can clearly tell it was shot in a studio and at no time is that scene ever suspenseful or scary because of this. also the sound mixing just doesn't stand up today. you can tell the dog's barking was added in post production. i wish i saw the 2006 version before the original if i'm being honest. for the time i'm sure it was amazing but compared to what we're capable of now its kinda like watching a parody early youtube days fan film. the original looks so artificial it takes away all the immersiveness. these older classics all need to be updated beat for beat so we can utilize new tech to update them. update the makeup, sound quality, lighting, and practical effects. lots of classic movies need to be updated for today's audiences. i respect what they accomplished for 1976 but let's be real some of the props and makeup effects in this movie can be bought at the dollar store today.

I love Chuck Jones’ adaption of the story! The 2008 adaption is good, but some stuff can be a hit and miss at times

The 1976 version is a really beautiful, well-made film but the 2013 version is closer to what I saw in my imagination when I read the book.
